Aircraft SELCAL Decoder / Logger

ComTekk AvCall makes use of the computer sound card and software DSP (Digital Signal Processing) techniques to decode and instantly display aviation SELCAL codes, a 2+2 tone signaling system used to "page" aircraft via HF (or VHF) radio on overseas flights.

Simply connect receiver's speaker output to computer's LINE or MIC input.

ComTekk AvCall will listen for any SELCAL tone signal and display the code and aircraft information if available. Audio recording may be triggered by tone activation. Received codes can be logged for later review, including date, time, aircraft registration, and audio recording.

Serial/USB control for external relay or receiver mode change. In HF communications, SELCAL is typcially transmitted on AM mode, but voice comms take place on USB (Upper Sideband). Some transceivers have an input for switching modes which may be controlled by AvCall.
