About ComTekk 2-Tone Decoder II
Ver. 2.02
ComTekk 2-Tone Decoder makes use of the computer sound card and software DSP (Digital Signal Processing) techniques to listen for audio tones and instantly display the frequencies of a single or two-tone paging sequence, such as those used by emergency services dispatchers to alert fire and EMS personnel. These signals are commonly referred to as "alarms", "alerts" or "tone-outs".
All single-tone, 1x1 and 1x2 formats are supported, including Motorola Quick-Call™, GE, Plectron, Reach, etc. Dual-tone formats such as DTMF, Knox, and SELCAL cannot be decoded with this software. Watch for future releases to support these and other protocols.
First responders, service techs, engineers, radio enthusiasts, designers and experimenters can all benefit from the convenience and ease of use offered in the ComTekk software suite.

ComTekk 2-Tone Decoder was designed primarily for first responders and radio enthusiasts who need to identify tone-out frequencies. Many modern two-way radios and some scanners offer a 2-tone alert feature which require direct entry of these tone frequencies. ComTekk 2-Tone Decoder offers a quick, simple way to identify those tones, and log dispatch activity.
